Here’s the Thing … Collage Wisdom Insight #1

Oldways

I find myself, among a number of friends … experiencing life change nudges.  Intuitively, we know something is coming.  I think it’s Spirit/God’s way of giving us a heads-up.  We sense a ‘Pay Attention‘ tap on the shoulder, bump/thump on the head, or in my case, L-5 putting me in a frozen, ‘now I’ve got your attention’, pose … because I chose not to listen to the quiet whispers, taps and thumps, mostly because of fear.  Fear of changing out a career (Certified Massage Therapist & Energy Worker for 28 years).  Loss of assured income.  Losing relationships.  Being my own boss.  I’m very good at taking care of everything.  Doing it all – whew.

It was interesting, when the pain was manageable, to note it was on my left side – energetically, the feminine side, the receiving side … being vulnerable, asking for help, nurturing me, being soft and gentle.  Quiet reflection, led me to acknowledge, my taking care of everything and doing it all (male energy/right side) was overpowering, leading to my life not being in balance.  My soft, gentle side, needed me to stop doing massage work.  (Deep breath … breathe ….) Now … it was taking time to process this part of my life.  This time of change.  I decided to create a collage to help me approach things that were coming through with meditation and journaling.

I call it Collage Wisdom!

Old ways won’t open new doors.  It’s true.  Life is filled with opportunities.  It’s opening new ways of thinking … yes, new thoughts are necessary! Any age, any decade!  Time to allow dreams to filter in … What if ____ ?? How about ___ ?? It is time to admit: We know stuff. (Thank you, Janice!).  We are a mixed bag of talents.  We are not one dimensional. We are multi-dimensional and that can be what ever we choose it to be.  Yes, fear is involved.  So is bravery.  We become stronger because we are going through the fear and realize how flipping awesome we are.  Believe this with me!  Create a grand door, a cabin door, a gnome door, a magical door, a real-life door …  put your hand on the doorknob, I will too.  Let’s twist it open – ready, set, GO …

Today is a new day.

More to come!

Blessings and Love,

Guardian Angels

unnamed (18)

Our Guardian Angels are always close by. Let’s start our week by acknowledging them and asking them to help us through the week … and then … paying attention to the signs and whispers they give us, as messengers from God.
It’s ok to ask for help and guidance … and a big part is trust. As many of you know … sometimes, I’m quite specific with my requests. One time, I had asked for an answer to a particular situation I was dealing with. This time, I didn’t ask for an ‘Please deliver it in black and white/’cause sometimes I need it that clear’ answer, but ‘flowers – by 5pm on Friday, if it’s for my highest good’ answer. (I never tell anyone about these requests, it’s between God and the Angels).
Guess what? Before Friday, a friend was stopping by. She knocked on the door holding one of the most beautiful bouquets of flowers I had ever seen. She said, ‘I know this sounds weird, but on my way over, it popped into my head to stop at a flower shop … I didn’t want to, because I knew it would make me late, but I ended up going around the block and back to the flower shop I had just driven by. Here. These are for you!” I cried. Yep, often I do – It was a beautiful answer to prayer. My friend was the messenger from God/Spirit/Angels. SHE listened. SHE followed through with the prompting. SHE delivered.
So, this week, I encourage you to be open to your Angels.  Ask.  Notice the signs. Trust.
Wishing you Blessings and Love,
Namaste

Embracing Your Inner Goddess

unnamed

When I’m open to Spirit … wonderful things happen!  Sitting down one recent evening , a bit anxious with a new computer and grieving the loss of my trusty laptop … I breathed deeply a few times, put my hands to my heart and said to this sparkly new fangled computer … “Let’s be friends and see what flows”.  I am over the moon excited with what unfolded and asked a smart, witty, self proclaimed Goddess, Becky Flansburg to co-facilitate with me. (She said yes!)  Her story was one of the sown seeds of this creation … and maybe a bit of energy from the Super Blue Blood Moon.  Within 48 hours (24 was given to pause with intention, ask Spirit for a sign of confirmation before moving ahead … yes, that’s part of the story!), we had our venue confirmed at beautiful Prairie Bay and Sunday afternoon, February 25th is the day …

Embracing Your Inner Goddess

The Beauty of Who You Are
It’s all about you.
Looking within, knowing you are unique.
There is no mold to follow. You travel this journey on your own,
surrounded with loving Goddesses, each on their own path.

You are your own version of perfection.
You are a Woman of Beauty.  You are Divine.

This time is recognizing self-love and accepting ourselves as we are.
Authentic, creative, loving, compassionate, vulnerable, weak, uncertain and strong.

We are all longing to go home to some place we have never been –
a place half-remembered and half-envisioned
we can only catch glimpses of from time to time. Community
Somewhere, there are people to whom we can speak with passion
without having the words catch in our throats.
Somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive us,
eyes will light up as we enter,
voices will celebrate with us whenever we come into our own power.
Community means strength that joins our strength to do the work that needs to be done.
Arms to hold us when we falter. A circle of healing.
A circle of friends.                        Someplace where we can be free.

Dancing to the beat of my heart …

Life doesn’t always play out like I think it will.  After a whirlwind romance, reality started its dance.  It’s hard when the rhythm and the beat aren’t synchronized.  No matter what my head and the heart wanted to say, my body was like an opposing magnet, saying “pay attention”.  The body has an uncanny sense of truth.  It doesn’t lie … “trust your gut” is what I tell clients … it just took me a while to practice what I preach.

The whirlwind romance is over.  I’ve learned alot about myself. I’ve had to think about what my life purpose is at this point in my life … and honor it.  Being true to myself, has opened a stream of music, that has me dancing and my feet tapping to the beat of my heart!  I love it!  Ideas are flowing, get-togethers are planned, energy is clear and bright as sunlight sparkles in the autumn air.

Someday, perhaps, I’ll have a partner to dance with …

For now, Life has me encircled with incredible people, dancing, clapping and holding each other up, celebrating the gift we are to each other.

How fortunate I am.

Sweetness of friendship

Friendships begin at a young age … expanding out from the familiarity of family, into a new realm of the unknown.  Yet, thankfully, when we trust this unknown, our circle of people grows … our circle of friends.

Friendship is both tears and laughter.  The silly little things that can get us laughing so hard we pee our pants, and have tears streaming down our faces, as we clutch our stomachs and catch our breath, to losing someone we love and our hearts are breaking.  It’s the sweetness of the friendship = love, that makes it so.  Would we trade it in?  Wish we never had shared the laughter and the tears, for however long it lasted?  Not me.  You?

Friendship is being vulnerable and willing to trust.  That breaking heart thing?  Yep, anytime we open ourselves up … expose who we are with all our warts and loveliness, we let the light of who we are shine and we’re accepted and loved – YAY – or not, we’re judged for our warts – BOO – (but then it’s not true friendship, is it?) … our hearts can break.  Would we rather not be vulnerable for fear of someone’s judgement of us?  Or, perhaps, trust and be gifted with a most amazing friendship when we’re recognized for the  light within us rather than the warts?  I’ll go for it.  You?

There’s an ebb and flow with friendships.  Sometimes we give.  Sometimes we take. Sometimes we’re the student.  Sometimes we’re the teacher.  We live, grow, and change throughout the years.  Sometimes, as we grow, we take a turn that our friends do not. Then, it’s letting go and trusting the new path will bring new friends.  Sweet.  It’s how life works.  Trust me!

Friendship doesn’t cost a penny … yet … friendship is priceless.   Let’s celebrate our friendships, let’s laugh and share wonderful times together.   Let’s experience the little things in the dew, and tomorrow our hearts will awake in the morning, refreshed.

Friendship.

How sweet it is.
